Successful Joint Commissioning and Test of Inland Waterway Vessel Hydrogen Power System Based on Hywin Organic Liquid Hydrogen Storage TechnologyIssuing time:2026-03-31 13:22 Recently, China's first set of organic liquid hydrogen storage + hydrogen internal combustion engine power system for inland waterway vessels achieved successful ignition during its joint commissioning and test on the first attempt. As one of the core R&D entities, Beijing Hywin Hydrogen Technology Ltd.(abbreviated as "hywin")has been deeply involved in the project, providing the hydrogen supply system and technical support based on organic liquid hydrogen storage technology, helping achieve breakthrough innovations in China's hydrogen-powered marine propulsion sector.
The project is supported by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. Leveraging its technological expertise in organic liquid hydrogen storage and release, Hywin has provided an efficient and stable marine hydrogen supply solution for the system. This solution delivers core advantages including safe hydrogen storage, convenient refueling, a range of 1,000 kilometers, and economic efficiency enabled by high system energy efficiency. Wang Yin,the Vice-general Manager of Hywin, stated that this joint commissioning and test represents an important practice for the company in the field of hydrogen-powered marine transportation, as well as another successful application of its core technologies in industrial scenarios. Going forward, the company will continue to leverage its technological advantages in the hydrogen energy sector, deepen collaborative innovation with upstream and downstream partners in the industrial chain, and provide more economical technical options for the green development of inland waterway vessels. |
